Welcome

A reminder that we are will not be running sessions on the upcoming bank holiday Mondays, those being the 10th of April, 1st of May, 8th of May, 29th of May & 28th of August

We are thrilled to be able to say that attendance at the SSA is flourishing and we have been humbled by the interest and enthusiasm shown by our existing and new members.

However this does mean that in three of our four forms we are at capacity and so at the moment we cannot take in any new students in broadsword, longsword and rapier.

There is still capacity in our unarmed classes and if you’d like to register for introductory session in that or be added to the list for when space opens up in broadsword, longsword and/or rapier then just use the Ready to come along? form to let us know.

Hello and Welcome

Founded in 1997, the Sussex Sword Academy (SSA) was established to study, practice, promote and revive the martial arts that were developed in European combat.

“Our primary aim is to inspire an appreciation and, above all, an enjoyment of this dynamic and fulfilling discipline that is not only a science and an art, but also a contemporary martial system that is equal to any in the world. We therefore invite you to explore our website and to come and meet us. However, each journey begins with a single step and I would suggest that first step should be… “Choose your weapon… “

Duncan Fatz President of the SSA
