Grading
The SSA grading system is based upon the number of sessions that have been attended as well as the ability of the student. Moving into an assessed grade is done with agreement from both the student and the instructor.
The grades within the SSA are
- Beginner
- Novice – 25 formal sessions completed. Student receives personalised journal.
- Scholar – 50 formal sessions completed. Student receives academy badge.
- Free Scholar – 150 formal sessions and successfully pass an assessment.
- Assistant Instructor – 250 formal sessions and must be approved by the existing instructors.
- Senior Scholar – 350 formal sessions, approval by the instructors and the acceptance of a written thesis on the form.
- Instructor – 350 formal sessions.
- Senior Instructor – 500 formal sessions.
- Master – 750 formal sessions.
